The FedNow Request for Payments (RfP) file format that QuickBooks can receive may vary depending on the specific version of QuickBooks you are using and the capabilities of your financial institution. However, generally, the FedNow RfP file format is based on the ISO 20022 standard and uses XML (Extensible Markup Language) format.

The XML file contains the payment details, including the payment amount, payment date, payment recipient, payment method, and any additional payment information. The file may also include unique identifiers, such as a transaction reference number, to facilitate tracking and reconciliation of the payment.

To receive a FedNow RfP file in QuickBooks, you will need to work with your financial institution to ensure that the file is in the correct format and that the payment information is accurate and complete. Once you receive the file, you can import it into QuickBooks using the Import Invoices feature and mapping the fields to the appropriate invoice fields in QuickBooks.

It's essential to verify the payment details contained in the RfP file before importing it to QuickBooks to ensure that the payment is processed correctly and avoid any potential errors or delays.
